I'm sure this has been discussed a lot already. But with iTMS now offering TV shows, I wonder if in the future we could subscribe to an Apple iTMS based TV service. If more networks jumped on board and Apple offered it at $30/mo for all the shows I could watch via iTMS (with the $1.99/eps if I wanted to save it to the computer), I'd be over that.

Give it time shifting capabilities and a nice remote, I'd pick up a Mac Mini (or something) and hook it up to the TV and drop Comcast. Wouldn't need the local news shows as I look all that up via the web anyways.

Jus thinking.....

I think this opens things up for a wide range of services. Apple could also offer high quality independent shows as well. I think it could just break the horrific "reality TV" genre. I'm guessing you will see major resistance regarding this, but $2 seems just about perfect for a OK quality download of a show.

Many of us out here don't feel like spending time finding an illegal torrent.

Yeah....though I'd rather have a different remote. The TiVo remote design is pretty good and the Logitech Harmony one looks pretty good as well. How are those Philips Pronto ones?

If they up the resolution, allow me to transfer the shows to my PSP, and offer a monthly fee and not a per show fee then I may be tempted!
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.
