Somebody told me, of a software for publish web photo albums that also include templates of webpages and you can just drag and drop text and pictures and thats it! I'm looking for a software like that , and he told me it is made just for Mac OS X and it has a GUI very similar at Apple's Softwares, so it will be like working with iPhoto or iTunes, I need to know the name, or a link to buy it right away, also he told me it is less that $50 dollars for a single licence... so, it is great for me! please if someone know about it, help me here, I've been searching on google without luck, and I want it.
thanxs

That person was most likely talking about RapidWeaver.

The only other app I'm aware of that might be similar hasn't gone public yet. It's called Sandvox.

i typically dont like to take threads off topic, but I think im being charitable in saying this... and besides, it sounds like a solution has been found, right....?
to help you w/ that english thing... it is either "thanks" or "thanx." ("Thanks" is technically proper). The "x" is used because it makes the combined sound of the "ks" in "thanks." Thus, neither the "k" nor the "s" are necessary when using "x."

It's better to learn how to code properly than to let something do all the work for you. You're paying for the ability to make amateurish pages.
If that's ok with you, then knock yourself out.

I'm convinced that learning to code properly is a dead art. When people see me hand-coding pages, they'll look at me like I've sprouted a robotic third arm.

I use WYSWYG tools for the basic layout and structure...then I hand code the rest or tweak the generated code.
Handcoding an entire site from scratch and with a short deadline without these tools is madness. Especially if you're alone.

I do it all the time. I haven't used a WYSIWYG editor in about 5 years. If you know what you are doing, you don't make the mistakes that kill all your time. Experience is your best asset.

I'ts true... I know.... and believe me, if I knew how to design a webpage I will never ask for a program like that, but the reality is that I don't know how to build a webpage, so, I was looking for a easy way to doit... also, when I get the money I will buy the Freeway Pro Software, it looks easy and cool, and is made for people like me. (it's sad because I already bought Adobe CS2 and Go Live is already there! but what the heck! I will stay with Freeway Pro) so, from now on, I will be trying with Rapid Weaver, and with my designing skills and Photoshop I know it will be a great experience.

I started my web site by hand-coding via Taco Editor. I could layout my pages exactly how I wanted but it took a long time and was limited due to my inexperience. I moved on to NVU which is probably the best solution for many as it allows handcoding and some automation. I finally moved onto RapidWeaver because my parents who were using IE couldn't view my frames (they had huge font size) and my transparent .png werent transparent on IE. So, onto CSS and RapidWeaver.
I see RW as a tool to manage content. I can edit the CSS and get it to look how I want it to. I can also use html pages within RW. RW will help me learn...as I learn more, I will become more independent and may go back to combination of Taco Editor, NVU, and RW.
Sure is faster to not hand-code

I know the original poster has already made a decision, but I'll post this for the benefit of others who may still be considering their options.
I like Shutterbug ( http://www.xtralean.com/SBOverview.html). It's inexpensive ($34USD), easy to use, has a responsive development team and a friendly, albeit small, user forum community. Shutterbug was initially designed to create Web photo albums, but can be used to develop more text-based sites as well. It comes with predesigned themes, or you can create your own. There's a well documented user manual online ( http://xtralean.com/SBManual/index.html) that you can use to assess its capabilities, and links to sample sites. Of course you can download and try it out for yourself before purchasing.
I've used it to quickly create a few family-oriented Web sites. I, and my family, have been very pleased with the results.

I was editing a photogallery I made as a table of thumbnails that, when clicked on, would open and display the fullsize version. Adding/deleting/changing images really was a hassle.

I got Rapidweaver already but I can't manipulate the templates as I do with iWeb. I need to put some Ads on it and it's difficult with RW.
