Iphoto images that can be viewed in the preview will not open when double clicked for editing or for slide show. This first occured when I downloaded a series of about 20 new photos and clicked on slide show to view them. The slide show proceeded normally until it reached one of the photos in the middle of this series and then stopped and returned to preview. Since then, that particular image and several after it will not open in the edit mode or slide show. However, subsequent photos downloaded since then open normally in both the slide show and edit formats.

I am using iphoto version 4 on OS 10.3.9.
