I'm trying to make a video clip of things I am doing on OS X, but have no clue how to go about doing this.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've been searching online for a bit, and haven't really turned up anythign useful. Any good walkthroughs for Mov -> Divx?

Have you read the Snapz Pro X manual? Particulary the part where it offers some tips about video encoding. That could help.

Yup, and tried that, and ended up with either .mov files that are a still image despite letting Snapz Pro X record my usual work. Or I end up with files that crash quick time.

so I end up back to just wanting to shrink this 50 mb file to a divx file. unless there's another way to go abot it.

Get the freeware Bitplayer to re-encode the file.
