So I had Snaps pro X installed for a couple days, tried it out, and it doesn't suit me.

I uninstalled it using the included uninstall file... and its no longer in my applications directory. If I push command shift 3, it does nothing.

And that's where the problem begins. I just got the popup from snapz pro x asking me to register and telling me I've had it installed for 3 days and used it x amoutn of times. I would take a screenshot but I can no longer take a snapshot of my screen with command shift 3 using the builtin OSX screenshot taker.

what is going on? how do I fix this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I use Snapz Pro and love it. Sorry you're having problems getting rid of it. Wish I had an answer for you. I hope that is a fluke and not the norm in case I ever want to uninstall it.

Good luck getting if off your HD.

Why not try a search with Spotlight or thru the finder? There is something left behind like a preference file that you also need to throw away.

When I try software and then discard it, I pretty much do a search first and then get rid of them all at once. Some devs have everything in one bundle but some do not. Fast, simple.

Kinda puts away that argument that uninstalling on a mac is just a drag and drop away. When you get daemons and application support in there, things can get messy. I'd make sure the snapz pro doesn't have an uninstaller. It would surprise me if they don't.

Try logging out and in again and see if that fixes it.

I didn't like Snapz Pro either. I much prefer Screentool:

I can't remember how I uninstalled Snapz Pro but look in you /Library/Application Support folder to see if there are any items there and check the startup items folder too.

thanks everyone for the tips....

I dont know how, but a few days and several restarts later, Snapz Pro left my machine. I have no idea why. There was an uninstaller which I had used from the beginning to uninstall, and I had restarted after the uninstallation, but for some reason it wouldn't leave.

I'll give screen tool a shot, maybe it'll suit me more.

Thanks for the tips everyone.
