Hey all,

I just subscribed to .Mac, making a group for my family. But what gives with having to drag your photos that you want to share to your iDisk, and then looking for them to create the photo albums? Is there a way to merely brose your desktop, find files you want to add, and add them to the iDisk via a web browser, like any normal service? While my 74 year old grandma is tech saavy, there's no way she's going to understand how to mount an iDisk to her windows machine and drop the photos she wants into it.

If there's not a way around this, I will be VERY disappointed in .Mac.

You can use iPhoto. And you could have found the answer right on the Dotmac page.

I was asking about web-based uploading for non-mac users and people who don't have iDisks.

I think the second half of Randmans' response is what you need.

Hey kcmac,

Where is it on the page? I definitely tried looking for it..is it in the dotmac help section, as I've combed through it quite a bit.

Thanks a bunch,
Brad

From Apple's FAQ page.

Q: If I'm using a PC running Windows, can I use the Group iDisk?

A: Yes. For instructions, see the iDisk section of .Mac Help, and refer to "Opening your iDisk using Microsoft Windows." The Groups folder inside your iDisk will contain folders for each of the .Mac groups you belong to. You will also find more information on the Groups folder in the folder itself, in the file "About this folder
