We just got our digital camera back from being repaired, and my wife never set the date on the camera. Now I have about 200 photos with the wrong date and time on them. The time I can do nothing about b/c I honestly don't know when they were shot, but the dates I know.

Is there a way to edit the meta tag info of multiple photos in iPhoto (similar to editing multiple ID3 tags in iTunes)?

Not in iPhoto but if you access the original files you could use exifrenamer, which is excellent:

Are you asking if it is possible to change the date of multiple iPhoto images at the same time? That is easy! Simply select all the images that you want to change, then go to Photos - Batch Change, and where it says "Set" choose Date and put in the date. This will change all photos selected to the same date.

faantastic, yup, that's what I was asking for and it did work.

I was hopoing it would be like iPhoto and I could just hit command+I and just do it there. Too bad apple isn't sticking to consistency across its applications like it did once upon a long time ago.
