So it seems my iTunes (6.0.1 (3)) is losing most of it's music all the sudden. I will open it and 90% of the artists/music will be missing. I will then have to delete all of what's left from iTunes and then "re-add to library". This happens on my machine at home (10.3.9) and at work (Tiger). Anyone know what's going on?

By "loosing", do you mean losing?

You have iTunes on two different computers. Is it the same music library? If so, how are you syncing them?

What settings do you have for iTunes managing your music library? Any external libraries being used? Are you using any iPods.

Yep, losing. Haven't had my coffee yet

No, they are not the same libraries, and they are not being synced. The problem just seems to be happening on both computers.

iTunes management settings:
"Keep iTunes folder organized" is on
"Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding" is on.
"Use iTunes for internet playback" is on.
"Look for remote spaeakers" is on.
I have the iTunes Music folder set to a different hard drive on the machine at home, on the machine at work it is in the default location.
I am using an iPod Photo 40gb and a 30gb iPod Video on the machine at home only. The iPod Photo automatically syncs all music, the iPod Video manually syncs selected music only. No iPods are used at work. I should add that a few other people in the office have experienced the same problem (music dissapearing from iTunes).

Reset the location of the iTunes library in the app itself and let it re-manage things and see if that works.

Also, if you're using any iTMS content, deauthorize and reauthorize the computers.
