No problems here on either my old Lombard PB/10.3.9 and a DP 800/10.4.3, (both using Safari). Then, using the DP 800, I tried it with IE 5.2 and it still works.
Indeed AOL has it's shortcomings, but this is not one of them (IMNHO).

Yeah, when I tried a search, I get an error saying something like, "This page has too many redirects ... it may be the page is linking to a page that is linking to the original page."
Is that what you're getting?
I only tried it on Safari.

I get redirected to the sign on page when I run a search, no time outs ( OmniWeb 5.1.3 beta 1), but I'm not an AOL member so I can't test any further.

Sorry, can't.
But you do give me a warm feeling about having left AOL several years back...
Like finally stopping bashing my head against a brick wall.
But I can feel YOUR pain.
I tried it again this summer from a free 1000 hr disk when I needed dial-up at a tech-clueless relative's house... Which is worse: the installation, the de-installation, trying to persuade them to deactivate my account? arggh...
Best of luck with yours.
