I fixed it for you Tooki!!!
here is the original post:
OK, when I burn a CD in iTunes, I sometimes (a lot lately) get the message below:
Anyone have any idea why this is happening?!?!?! I forgot to mention this happens on multiple types of media from iMix CD-Rs to Memorex to TDK, etc.
Thanks
PS - I am not sure how much I can check these forums as I have my 8 week old son in the house along with my 5 year old daughter, but thanks in advance for all help.

Next time it happens, cancel the burn and try to burn using a different application (e.g. Toast) onto the same blank disc that gave you the error. This will help narrow down whether it really is a drive problem, or just a software bug.

What Mac Model, what version of OS, what version of iTunes. Is your house really dusty? Memorex CDs are total crap btw. I use fuji film, Sony and HP blanks mostly.
I had that error with my iMac 800 a couple times a few months ago. I got a air can and sprayed lightly inside the drive and lots of dust blew out. Never had the problem since. Just remmeber to keep the cans upright if you do that, and to blow a few seconds away from the computer because sometimes it blows out moist air first. And never blow with full strength.
PS I did some more searching and found lots of other people with similar problems. Most of them ended up trying different brands and eventually found that the higher quality ones worked fine. See if you can find some Sony CD-R's and give that a try. They seem to be the most common for success during my googling.

Brian says (9:16 AM): I was looking at houses in Ottawa... I actually have a temptation in me to move
Jeff ******* says (9:19 AM): Eww, Ottawa is gross. It's infested with politicians, and presently, 1 Harper as well.

I have a 1GHz G4 iMac with the original superdrive installed. I have a new hard drive (installed about 10 months ago) that is 200 GB and 1GB RAM. I only opened my computer once to install the hard drive and the CD problem happened around August so it shouldn't be that. I am running OS 10.4.3 and iTunes 6.01 (3). We moved to a new house back in June, but I will try the dust thing!! I wish I would have known that about the Memorex CDs as I have over 50 left froma spool of 100.
Thanks for everyone's help so far!!!
