Hi. I have at least 13 .avi files but NONE of them will play on my QuickTime!!! Everytime I opened it it says not available on this quicktime server!! Then I downloaded an AVI to MOV converer and when I imported the file to convert it said error during import, the file has a WMA audio codec therefore it will not be converted. Is there ANY WAY i can convert the WMA audio in it to maybe MP3 or WAV or AIF or ANYTHING LIKE THAT??! PLEASE RESPOND! NEED HELP! THNX!

Ummm... so obviously you have not heard of VLC. It's pretty much the standard video player for OS X. Find it on macupdate.com

Also known as Video Lan Player

There is no reason to yell. If all you want is the audio from the files and they aren't very long use something like wiretap or audio hijack. If you need the whole file, you will likely need to convert it to something your mac will find more friendly. Does http://www.flip4mac.com/ that look like it might help?

I find ffmpeg to be an excellent app to have around for movie files. It can decode WMA up to version 8, I believe. You can convert the entire movie or just encode the audio in MP3.

Off topic: If you're going to be posting here regularly, I would recommend you change your handle. Using "gay" in a derogatory manner is very offensive. You wouldn't (or at least I hope you wouldn't) have a handle "MacOSXisGOODWindowsisJEWISH".
