They don't necessarily have to be HD, I would just finally like something that is dynamic (ie. not GasLight) and not jagged. Do high quality visualizers exist?

I think it has more to do with your graphics card.
better card = smoother effects

No, it doesn't. The problem isn't that the visualizer doesn't run smoothly, it's that the lines and actual effects in the visualizers are jagged.

And I've tried G-Force before, it's not much better than the stock one in that respect.

While Gaslight is fairly static, with some messing around with the parameters you can get a bit more variation, and it is definately not jagged. Biggest prob with Gaslight is it looks really cool on a big screen, and really dull on a small screen. Gaslight + iBook = yech. Gaslight + 30" cinema = killer.
