I recently had need to open a number of files I created back in the mid-1980's with a very early version of WordStar for DOS. I have several 100 of these files. I can open them as Text files but lose much of the information. MacLink Plus 15 does not support the file format. Anyone have any other suggestions for me?

I Goggled "convert Wordstar" and found this. http://www.wordstar.org/wsdos/pages/downloads.htm

I'm guessing you'll need a Windows computer to run the utilities but if you have several hundred files to convert it may be worth it.

Thanks tomrock. I had done a Google Search but had missed that site. It's a great resource. May have me invest in Virtual PC.

Do you know anyone who has a Windows computer? Buy them a pizza and some soda (you want them sober to do this!) and ask pretty please-they might just do the conversion for the sake of the challenge.

Really, ask a friend before you buy VPC JUST to convert your old WordStar files.

Are there any NEW WordStar files?
