The December issue of MacAddict magazine hints (on pg. 63) that you can use Dragon Burn to convert iTunes Music Store purchases to an unprotected format (like AIFF or WAV) directly to a hard drive instead of burning a CD. Has anyone had success writing iTMS m4p files to a AIFF or similar format on a hard drive?
I tried with Dragon Burn, but the AIFF files that were written are silent (checked with several programs), even though the file size is appropriate. This would be a great method to convert the DRM-protected files to MP3, so I can burn them to an MP3 disc for my car.
