Let's say you have the Keyspan USB IR Receiver that works with their remote, and you happen to have an Apple Remote that works with both the new iPods w/ Universal Dock and the new iMacs. Will this Apple Remote work with the Keyspan USB IR Receiver and the hacked version of Front Row 1.0.1 the same it would if you owned an iMac G5?

You might be able to get it to work by making a map of the Apple remote (assuming it uses normal IR codes)

I don't know, but it would be interesting to see if the remote works with a regular iSight. Apparently, the CCD can see into the infrared range, and that's how the new iMacs work.

No, the new iMac has an IR receiver behind the apple logo - the iSight is not used to read the remote.

All CCDs are sensitive to infrared. In fact, all but cheap cameras have an IR filter to keep IR from hitting the CCD and affecting colors.

But you can't use a CCD camera as an IR receiver: cameras have lenses that focus, so it'd not only have to see the IR light, but figure out where in the picture it is. A simple IR photodiode doesn't need all that fanciness.
