ok so im trying to import this 3 hour football video right??

and it imports 19 minutes (1 clip) and then just stops importing, meanwhile the tape is still playing in the vcr im trying to import it from, so it messes everything up unless i sit there and after 19 minutes is up i click import again IMMEDIATELY

why is it doing this? it never used to do this last year when i did the football season video and i didnt have imovie HD back then it was the one before HD, how do i change this so it just imports everything until there is no more tape left??

ok well i fixed it after searching apple's help forum and then calling them

so i figured id share with you guys incase anyone else ever has this problem,

well turns out 19 minutes is 4gb , and my external hard drive i was using to store the data was NON HFS formatted( so it couldnt hold more than 4gb of information in one session, so i guess this is why it would just give up after 19 minutes), so i just moved everything off of it, reformatted it in macintosh journaled, and moved all the stuff back on, continued to import and it works fine now!
