I have an imap email account that I usually access with OS X's Mail app. When it gets full, I move old messages from the Inobx to an archive folder in Mail. When I check mail again, the messages are deleted from the server. When I did this recently with about 150 messages, the move seemed to go OK (no error messages), but the messages are nowhere to be found. I've searched for them with Mail's search function and with Spotlight, but nothing turned up. The strange thing is that the messages are still on the server when I check with a web browser! But they do not appear in Mail when I check mail. I tried synchronizing the account, but this had no effect. Does anyone have any ideas for getting these old messages to download to my Mac?
