Hello,
As the title says, dragging stuff to the Dock to make it open in PhotoshopCS opens the application but not the file. I have to go Open>File to do anything...
Photoshop seems to be the only app with this problem.
It's happening in a new user account I had to create after my main account went south for no reason. Panther 10.3.9.
Repaired permissions, etc. What can I do??
Thanks.

Photoshop CS is screwed up like this. Every time I hand move the application to another machine it does this. You have to File:Open, or re-install Photoshop.

This is clearly a problem of a specific application … moving to correct forum.

Yeah I have this problem as well, with both Photoshop and ImageReady... except maybe it is a bit different. If I drag a file to its icon in the dock, and it is not started, it will only launch the program. But if it is started, it will open the file (so if photoshop isn't running, I have to drag the file to it twice).

I don't remember the reason, but I had the same problem. Reinstall photoshop and your problems will disappear.
(On a side note, I also have photoshop elements, and every once in a while, it begins to refuse to open any documents, in any fashion or using any command. The only fix I've found is to restart not the program but the whole machine.)

That was completely uncalled for.

If this problem appeared after doing an archive and install of OS X, you don't need to reinstall Photoshop. Just copy over the Adobe Unit Types file in the Previous System folder to /Library/ScriptingAdditions.

Thanks!
This is the kind of answer I was looking for.
