I looked at it but was unsure if is for current generation processors. I am new to Macs (8/4/05) so I don't want to do something that I might regret. I am running Firefox 1.5 for Mac now, so what could the difference be?

For any mac mini, you'll want the version optomized for PPC 7450 processors (you actually have a 7447A--never mind that: they're compatible).
