I require pro DJ software for my Powerbook for club work. First off, not Megeseg-it's pretty much for radio and wedding DJ's and does not meet my needs. Some suggest Traktor although I have heard complaints of it's unreliability. I need a Master Tempo among other features.
Any DJ"s using this set up "live"?
Thanks

Google it Oakenfold. I require just a little bit of effort.

It's users like sadpanda that make these threads sometimes juvenile and worthless.
A genuine inquiry for assistance turns into an invitation from some punkass, to spew another idiotic, irelevant and useless statement. Hey dude, if you're not here to be part of the process try the Dell site-more your speed!

I know very little about such things, but this looks like a pretty nice app: http://www.dj1800.com/

i thought the oakenfold reference was kinda funny... but it was rude to just reply with a lame "google it" like that's the answer when someone's seeking help.

club work meaning in a dance club or a club at school?

the (dance) clubs i know don't use laptops YET, some are still stuck on turntables, but what i want to know is what you're going to do when your laptop freezes.

ableton live seems to be the #1 right now. i haven't used anything on my mac yet, but on my compaq laptop i did use traktor, sound forge, ableton live and... some other program i got from a friend in poland.
