I've been able to download many quicktime movies on web and play back later. But just saw one photoshop tutorial, and I righted clicked on it and it said: download quicktime pro.... want to buy......

So some quicktime movies on web don't need pro and some do? thanks.

It is probably just a suggestion. Many if not all of the capabilities of QT Pro are available via freeware and shareware.

Anyone can recommend a freeware/sharware that will save this QT file for me (less or free than the $29 apple wants) thanks!

If you load a movie directly (i.e. in the browser's location bar), you can just use Save As... to save the movie to the hard disk. If it's embedded, they want you to buy QT Pro (I know, this is stupid). You could check the HTML source and find the path to the .mov file, then copy and paste it into the location bar, and Save As... from there. Yes, I know this is a PITA.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

Be sure to tell QuickTime to save movies in disk cache…

I guess you are going to find the movie inside the browser cache easy… I find it easy with a browser like iCab… Camino in the other hand was a 'no-no' for me yesterday when after load the X Men 3 teaser I saved the movie to the desktop, close the browser just to find that the movie in my desktop was zero -nada- KB… I had to load the trailer again

If anyone can help, let me know, or I'll just buy quicktime pro.
