I've been having problems with my quicktime for a while now. Everytime I try to load a video over 320 resolution, it plays choppy and looks more like a slideshow. I have a G3 900 + 640 ram, and even with no other programs open, my quictime can never play a 640 video. I'll open the file with VCL and it plays decently.

However, I have quicktime pro and I'm wondering what's the deal.
Also, how do I download videos from the web in quicktime? Like the movie trailers from Apple's site. I'd really love to have that new X3 teaser.

thanks guys!

Click the down arrow at the bottom right of the movie.

That can't be correct. I don't have that option, but my quicktime menu says "Pro"... that and I can watch full screen. Something's wrong.

Saving trailers is a pro only feature. Also, what format is the video you're trying to watch? If it's H.264 (I know the X3 teaser is offered in that format), your G3 isn't really up to the task.

It says that I have pro...but the download feature isn't there. That's disturbingly odd!

Also...I'm just trying to download anything really. I'd like to start with that awesome X3 trailer(any version).

Ok, guys! I just had "kiosk" mode on... and that for some reason disables/hides the save options.

But still, about that sluggishness... I only experience it with quicktime though.

I think like he said make sure you aren't trying to watch the Hi Def trailers on a g3. also check your activity monitor to see if something else is hogging tht processor or ram.
