My wife generally uses iChat and Safari, but there are a few instances in which she uses AIM and IE. We just purchased a new G5 iMac and after installing AIM & IE on it, AIM abruptly crashes within seconds of opening it. IE crashes within a minute or so after the application is opened.

Other than never using either of those apps again (which is what I suggested), does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be causing the problem?

For IE, you need to change the home page so it's not msn.com. IE ironically has had problems loading msn.com, mostly because it sucks!

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
