I want to ask how can I set my apple mail icon dock to bounce continously each time I receive a mail?

I don't care about the sound, because I use apple mail for my personal email account at work and I can't hear any sounds. So, is there any way to make that icon bounce?

Thanx

You could get Mail.appetizer and set the 'Dismiss message' option inside the Preferences to 'Never'

Info:

Mail.appetizer displays a transparent notification on top of your screen when new messages arrive. It shows only sender, subject and the first plain-text lines of the message, so you can determine whether the message requires your immediate attention. The prominence of the notification can be defined by adjusting transparency and display time.

Mail.appetizer is a plug-in for Apple's Mail and integrates seamlessly. It is dynamically loaded when launching Mail and you can change settings from within Mail's preferences.

i agree with angel, mailappetizer is very cool, but you can create a rule that bounces the mail icon.

Great. I still have some some place over here the Pre-Tiger version of Mail.appetizer. It is a bundle you place here:

Your Home folder -> Library -> Mail -> Bundles

I can e-mail it to you (under 90 KB) and give it a try, if it works and you like it, cool. If you don't like it or it doesn't work… just delete it, Mike's solution is great and painless.

Yes, please e-mail it to me. I want to see what else it can do.
