I'm surprised how often I've seen this question... iTunes will do it!

iTunes for Windows will, not iTunes for Macintosh (AFAIK).

It seems rather odd that Apple would be refering only to the Windows version on http://www.apple.com/itunes/music/ when they say "Convert your existing music collection from unprotected WMA for syncing to iPod."

It seems more odd that a Mac user would have his collection in WMA format.

By the way, wataru, he already said he was using EasyWMA and it would only convert 13 seconds of the song. From reading the ReadMe, it looks like the solution is to buy the software.

Well, sometimes, that's just the way things are.

Because it's true.

iTunes just uses the Windows Media framework built into Windows (and always running) to do the conversion.

You can also try using the andvanced output in VLC. I'm not sure if you can produce a 'clean' MP3 directly with it, but you can choose the MPEG-1 encapsulation and MP3 audio, and after it's done you use something like bbDemux to get the audio track out.

http://forums.macosxhints.com/archiv...p/t-19702.html

Mac os x hints is an awesome site.

Also try ffmpegx. If it is wma9 then flip4mac is the only solution I know of. Either that or use audio hijack to extract the audio from windows media player but then that would be slow.
