Okay,

I have a new powerbook and have been using Toast 7 successfully until recently. After I installed the Apple 2005-009 security update I can no longer burn data DVDs with Toast 7 is there any way to undo this? I have logged a ticket with Roxi where a number of other people are having similar problems. Is it possible to uninstall this Apple update? Or can anyone think of a way around this. If I have to reinstall Tiger I will.

All help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Er. Tiger can burn DVDs for free. What's with the Toast?

OMG How much data are you generating? Are you spanning? The only way I can think of reversing this is – as you suggested – reinstall Tiger (and update 'til before 2005-009). If you are generating that much data, you should have a back-up strategy that allows you to roll back your system to that state anyway. Get yer act together. Sheesh.

I've no problems here. I was just replying to your comment of why Toast. And that's why I've got Toast.

Anyway to the original poster: Try re-installing toast before doing the OS.
