Is there any chance at getting Ogg Vorbis files to play in iTunes or is it a lost cause? I know a while back there was a quicktime component you could install that would allow iTunes to play .ogg files without much of a problem, but it hasnt seen an update in a few years and I beleive broke with iTunes 4.8. If there is no solution, does anyone know of a converter that i can use for OSX that will convert .ogg's to mp3's?

Have you tried this? If you can't find a working QuickTime component for ogg, then you'll have to convert. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about that.
