In the last two years, I've used TaxCut for our taxes. It's been fairly reliable despite its generally lousy UI. This year, I have discovered that H & R Block have discontinued the Mac version. Does anyone have any suggestions for acceptable tax software? My sense is that people have been generally unhappy with both Quicken and TurboTax, which is why I went with TaxCut in the first place. Are there any others I'm missing? Our taxes will be reasonably simple (no house, not a lot of deductions, etc). Mostly, I just need something to check my math and do the electronic filing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

TurboTax works fine -- I've used it for the past 3 or 4 years and it's been fine. I also used TurboTax for the web a couple times and it was okay as well (3 years ago, it had issues with Safari, but I could mostly work around them).

Turbotax!!! It's great and has nothing to do with H&R cheat...I mean H&R Block. A coworker used to do taxes for H&R during "the season" and told me that their rules were designed to gouge the customer as much as possible. They would charge by the form and then convince the customer that he needed a lot of superfluous forms that just wind up being shredded by the IRS when they get the package. Stay away from H&R Block and enjoy Turbotax.
