For some reason, a new playlist has appeared on my iTunes 6.01 entitled "Anna Morgan's Limewire Tunes." I have no earthly idea where this came from, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. When i right click on the playlist, the only options are to either "open" or "disconnect." I did a google search and found out a little about Limewire, but I have no idea how this got on my powerbook. I want to get rid of it--can anyone help?

Thanks.

Select the playlist and press delete.
Quite simple really.

Edit: no whoops, I know what you're talking about now. What you are seeing is someone on your network that has an iTunes share. Go into the iTunes preferences to turn of the discovery of shares. In the preferences you should find a checkbox that says "Search for shared music" (something along those lines). Uncheck it. Are you on a public network ? Or a LAN at work ? If not, is your wireless network secured ?

BTW: it's has nothing to do with LimeWire really.

I appreciate the reply, but as I stated in my original post, the only options available on a right click are either "open" or "delete." Likewise, the options in the menu bar at top to delete or otherwise are all grayed out. I cannot find anyway to delete this, which is why I asked for help.

That did it! I am on a Wi-Fi network at home, but I had never seen that before. Our neighbors (the Morgans) live a good 400 feet away. I am amazed that I could pick that up!

Thanks again.

I edited my reply. Read it again. I realised what you were talking about after I had posted the reply. My bad.

EDIT: nevermind, you got it

You didn't read Goldfinger's reply, did you?

You are seeing someone else's playlist which that other person is sharing over the local network. Go into iTunes->Preferences->Sharing and turn off the discovery of other people's music if you don't want see that.

And if you are using a WLAN router you might want to consider setting a password.

Um, yeah.

Either Anna Morgan is using your network, or you're using hers.

Though I still see this issue from time to time:

And given that Anna is presumably stealing music, you'd best be sure she's not using your network to do that.
