free voice recording software?

Hi all. Does anyone know of any free but good voice recording software I could get for my new mini? I woudl just be recording foreign language assignments using a headset. On my PC, I was using PureVoice but for some reason it woudl freeze up whenever I used it...on both of my windows machines...very annoying (though it didnt do that in the school's PC labs). Anyway, any suggestions would be appreciated.
