Hello. I am Chris K, and I am a young programmer/web enginer. I recieved an iBook G4 yesterday for Christmas. it has 512 MB RAM, and runs Mac OS X 10.4.x
I haven't used iMovie for a while, so I decided to try out a test project. When I try to add the "Fog" effect, or just about any other, it says "Not enough memory", and doesn't do it.
What do I need to do so I can use iMovie without all of these problems.
I think I want to add a gigabyte of RAM, but I'm not sure.

Can somebody please give me an opinion?

I would be very grateful for any help.

512 RAM is enough to run the application...but you obviously got creative with the program and added effects, titles, etc. I'd up it to 1 g-that's the most your allowed on your mac.

I upped it to 1.5 GB. It runs well. Thx.
