I have an external hard drive connected to my PM DP2.0.
For some reason, upon ejecting the drive and turning it off later, i got a message saying that i have incorrectly disconnected it.
Now, to get the hard drive back, i did an erase, but the security settings where nothing got deleted. I used disk utility. According to Disk Utility, i can still recover all files. How can i do this?

I can't tell from your post whether you've done this or not but it sounds like you need to manually mount your external hard disk drive. Go back to disk utility. Look for your misbehaving external hard disk in the list of volumes on the left side of the window. Select it, then look at the top of the window, you should see a mount button. Select the mount button. If there is a unmount button but no mount button, you have a bigger problem.

i've tried that and it didnt mount...
so i had to do an the erase thing, but at the setting where nothing really got erased except the directory info.
so what i had to do was use a software called Disk Recovery. I was able to recover some of my files, but not all....
