i have a question for the average computer users, not the experts. is automater easy for any of you? i still can't figure the thing out, i just kinda suck with computers i guess.

anyway, i'm hoping someone can help me create an automater workflow with quicktime pro. here's the situation. i have a small digital camera that i use more for recording videos than taking snapshots. i go out and record street performers in the city that i live in. i usually record with my camera positioned vertically, so when i get home to edit the footage with quicktime pro, i need to manually rotate every single clip that i have. i have 2x 512mb sd cards and it gets very tedious because i come back with loads of clips.

i'm thinking that there has to be a way to have automater do this work for me. the only problem is i can't figure out how to do it.

can anyone help? i would appreciate it!

Unfortunately none of the built-in Quicktime Player actions do rotation. An applescript might work though (check at macscripter.net, they might have something).
