It difficult to tell is this has already been coverd, but I run 10.3.8 and QT 6.5 as I have the Pro for this QT and don't feel steve needs another $25 right now. I don't use 10.4.4 as one of my apps (alchemyDVR) has a much better interface pre 10.4.

is there a way to run Both qt 6.5 and 7.04 at the same time under 10.3.8? I ask as there is a WMP add on only for qt6.5.1 or above that Id like totry ( qt6.5.1 seems only to be for windows)

hoping there is a soluytios

cheers

Nope. Quicktime is a core system component. You could (likely) run an older version of the player on a newer version of Quicktime, but you cannot run two different versions of the components on the same system at the same time.

thanks for the tip

but does this mean that if I install 7.0.x and then open 6.5, I can use 6.5 and the 6.5PRO that way?

thanks

Unfortunately no, Apple kills your old registration key when you upgrade to 7, as they have with all other Quicktime upgrades in the past.
