i'm new to toast, and burned a couple of avi/mpg type stuff onto DVD-R's ok

but now it kinda stopped working

i get this funky error message, no matter how much, or how little, is on the movie i want burned to DVD

"there's not enough free space on this disc: 2577295 sectors (4.92 GB) are needed, 2298496 sectors (4.38 GB) are avail."

now even if i delete half the movie, so the file size is smaller, i still get the exact same error msg, w/the exact same GB amounts sited in those 2 places

fyi, there is 30 gig empty on my HD

anybody encountered this?

btw, i think even when it was working that first time or two, sometimes it only made discs that would play on my computer, and not in a dvd player

thanks for any suggestions

oh, i think i should add that i have less problem when i rip a dvd w/mac the ripper, and then toast it up

than the probs i am having now, which involve avi/mov/mpg files i've compiled into one big mov file that i want to burn

thanks

Is this a disc image you're trying to burn? I seem to remember "somewhere" that the size of an image file is static, even if you delete contents from it. Don't quote me on that, though!
