An earlier thread reported problems creating smart playlists that select tracks with rating of 1 or 3 stars.

I have found another problem. When creating smart playlists that use either the Date Added or the Date Modified fields and a specific date, the only date that can be entered is todays. You can change the date in the dialog, the playlist will not update properly and when the edit playlist dialog is reopened the date field will have reverted to todays date.

A work around that I have found is to change your system date to date you would like to enter, create your playlist and then change the system date back.

Anyone else noticing other bugs in iTunes 6.02?

After further playing around I have tracked down the problem. I don't know for sure if this is a new problem with 6.02 or one that I hadn't run into before.

The bug is has to do with my international settings. I have my formats set to Canada where the date format is DD/MM/YY. iTunes appears to require the date to be entered in the format MM/DD/YY.

When I create a new smart playlist using the Date Modified or the Date Added and a specific date, iTunes autofills todays date in my chosen internationalized format. It gives an error tone but will work. If I change the date, but keep it in the DD/MM/YY format, iTunes rejects it.

In order to work properly user enterd dates must be in the MM/DD/YY format. I was entering them wrong because I was just updating the autofilled date.
