I bet developers secretly love the fact that all the Apple transitions means that they can charge for a major update to their application and tout a major new feature like "Carbonization" or "Universal binary".

Heh, probably, knowing Apple's history.

Still, I think especially small developers are excited about being handed a major new feature to all their major upgrades. It gives them a reason to charge again.

I have a feature list as long as my arm that I'd like to add. Apple's stuff just gets in the way.

Yea except when you get your apps compiled for Intel you can tout it as a major new feature/upgrade and your customers will be willing to pay for it,
