I turned on the Birthdays Calendar on iCal (never noticed it until a few days ago). Today I was trying to set a few birthdays, and its giving me this error: You cannot change events or To Do in a read-only calendar.

However, i can add items to my calendar all I want, as long as they are not on the Birthday Calendar. Maybe I'm just using it wrong, but I doubt it. Any advice?

Birthdays must be edited in Address Book. They will automatically appear, thereafter, in iCal.

The reason I used to use iCal was for the reminders (via pop-up or e-mail), but the darned Birthday calendars did not have the option to send me a reminder. Can anyone tell me if this changed in recent versions?
