From OpenOSX web site:

OpenOSX™ WinTel 2.0
Runs native on Intel!

Click on image for full-size screen, or visit our Screen Gallery
Our WinTel product built for the new Intel based Macs runs Windows(R) within Mac OS X offering performance we have always dreamed of: nearly native.

Experience full-compatibility with x86/Pentium(R) processors, disk images, CD-ROM support and much more on your Mac.

I'm most concerned with periphial support with printers, cell phones, etc.

WinTel is just Bochs. Unless they have integrated another open-source virtual machine into the app (and not mentioned it anywhere on the web site), I would be extremely skeptical of their performance claims. Bochs is an x86 emulator, and AFAIK it doesn't seem to do a Classic-type virtual machine. It is also extremely slow.

Of course, they still claim Bochs' performance is similar to that of VPC. I don't think these OpenOSX people are very honest.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
