Hi,

I want to keep my music files on external hard drive(s), instead of on my IMAC internal hard drive. However I could easily see having to use more than one external hard drive due to the size and number of my music files. Can I have my music files located on two (or more) external hard drives and still use iTunes and listen to music from either hard drive (mix and match, if you will)?

For example, if I have 500 GB of music files split between two 300 GB hard drives, will I be able to have both hard drives hooked up and be able to listen to music from either of them? When I am in iTunes, will it appear that the music from both hard drives is all in one place?

This is my first post and I did search around for an answer. However all I could find was related to using only one external hard drive.

You can do it. Just add the music to itunes using the add folder to library feature. And uncheck "copy files to itunes music folder".
