The iWeb URLs seem really long. For example, here is my new homepage:

http://web.mac.com/username/iWeb/sitename/Welcome.html

That is much more obnoxious than homepage.mac.com/username

I suppose you can get rid of the Welcome.html, but still. Is there any way to put the site at the username level? Like this:

web.mac.com/username

The iDisk structure looks like this:

iDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/sitename

Would it work to copy the sitename folder to the Sites directory?

Well, I copied a file called index.html to my iDisk here:

iDisk/Web/Sites/index.html

And it loads when I go to web.mac.com/username

So there you have it. You can just put an index file there and then people only have to remember web.mac.com and your username.

How do make an index file that will redirect to my site in a deeper directory of the hierarchy?

Code:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="N;URL=http://www.yourothersite.com/yourfolder/yourpage.html">
where N is the time in seconds, and the URL is the path to the index file in the deeper directory.
I do not like those green links and spam.
I do not like them, Sam I am.
