I was reading about this software, Screen Cleaner 1.0, which supposedly helps bring back life to your LCD screen by adjusting gamma levels blah blah blah.

I tried to download it from macupdate and versiontracker, but the link appears to be dead. Does anyone have a link to this, or have it available for download?

p.s. its a freeware app according to the pages.

It was posted on April 1 2005 and maybe it will be available again on April 1 this year. It's not appropriate to run this on any other day of the year.

yup, I tried the ambrosiasw.com link as well. All three sites try to download from the same page:

ftp://ftp.ambrosiasw.com/pub/freebie...cleanerpro.dmg

And it just sits there til it times out.

This app is incredible!

I just got done using it. You turn it on and it works in the background for about 5-10 minutes. You can surf or work while it is working.

All of a sudden, a little rag appears on your screen and starts to wipe it off. Almost like it's dusty. On my rev A PB, my screen is now bright again.

Edit. It appears that app darkens your screen for those 5-10 minutes that it works in the background. Then cleans it off. Neat trick. Added fun to my day.
