I've looked for a command to do this, and can't find one, nor can I find it in my OSX book. Is there a way in the mail app to mark all messages as "read," without clicking on each one?

Select multiple messages and choose "mark as read" - for contiguous selections use shift, for non use Command.

[edit] - if you mean you want to mark all 'unread' messages as 'read' conveniently, then you should make a smart mailbox which shows all unread - then just show that mailbox and select all then choose 'mark as read.'

Thanks. I SWEAR I looked for that and couldn't see them. What a dummy. Already modified my toolbar and that should help the next time I find 20 messages, all of them spam, sitting in my inbox.
