Hi,
I have been experiencing a problem posting new threads here on MacNN Forums using the Safari browser. After fulling in a thread tittle and message and pressing "Preview Post" to confirm my thread is perfect, I press "Submit New Thread". This causes Safari activity icon to spin for a few seconds, but ultimately it takes me to an error page with something about a network connection to the server. I know its just Safari as my thread post works find moments later from Firefox.
I just tried creating a new thread in the Mac OS X forum and it happened again. (See "Future of Darwin" thread by me mactropolis under Mac OS X forum) The first few times it led me to the Safari error page and somehow it eventually posted my thread. When I returned to the Mac OS X forum page, it also has my thread posted multiple times! However if you click the thread, it takes you to a new page but doesn't actually have my thread text, just a Quick Reply box (not allowing me to delete my extra threads)!
What's goin on here?!? Is the problem with Safari or with vBulletin used here on MacNN Forums?? It seems to happen MOST but not ALL the time (for example this thread posted without error). Safari 2.0.3 with no extensions/enhancements on 10.4.4 using DSL connection.
Error I get from Safari Activity window which displays 'lost network connection' when I try to access newreply.php to post my thread.
