I recently upgraded to Tiger from Panther. I run QT 7.0.4 I bought the pro key.

I just ried to open an imove I created in panter and I am getting this message. The project was created in HD format.

Any ideas?

You need to upload it to a website. Use tinypic.com for example.

There's your solution then. Re-install iMovie.

Or, when you upgraded how did you do it? I.e. if you did and Archive and Install do you still have the previous system around. If so hunt through there in Library\Quicktime and copy the necessary components over.

I cloned the old (Panther) system onto an external HD and did a erase and install from a Tiger disc. Surely iMovie would have been installed a fresh with all plug ins.

How do I reinstall from the iger install disk.

Am considering an upgrade to iLife 06 - would that fix the problem?

You are supposed to reinstall iMovie, not Tiger.

Yes I had realized that. Apologies if that was not clear. However I am curious as to why the componant did not load correctly the first time.
