Hi All,
I'm getting an error when using Toast 7 to write a DVD worth of files to a disc. The error is:
"Sense Key = MEDIUM ERROR
Sense Code = 0x0C
WRITE ERROR"
and when I dismiss that error, I get a second:
"Sense Key = ILLEGAL REQUEST
Sense Code = 0x30, 0x05
CANNOT WRITE MEDIUM - INCOMPATIBLE FORMAT"
The technical setup is unchanged from that used to burn hundreds of discs before (same software, same computer and optical drive, same blank discs), the only thing that has changed is the data. I've had the same error with 4 attempts at this burn (two with the data on its original drive, one with the data coped to another drive, and another with the data copied as a disc image to yet a third drive).
This has me wondering: what sort of file corruption can cause this error in Toast, but not be caught when the data is copied from one hard drive to another? And any suggestions as to how I can figure out which file is the cause of the problem? (I'm burning 2179 Photoshop-processed jpeg files to a DVD-R).
Can anyone shed any light on my problem?
Thanks in advance,
Chas
