Once in a while I look at my playlist in iTunes and there's a missing file sign. When I try to locate it, the song is in the same place as it usually is and I relink it. This happens occasionally, maybe once a week, randomly without rhyme or reason. I haven't moved anything anywhere. Why does this happen and how can I prevent it?

Do you keep your iTunes library on a second disk or anything like that? If yes, is it possible that iTunes is starting up when you log in but before that disk is mounted?
It's all about the cheese.

iTunes is in my internal hard drive. And I don't have iTunes as a login item.

This isn't serious, it's just annoying to have to stop the song I'm listening to and relink a different song.
