Is there any way to change the size of the page you are working with to be 4" x 8"?

So the features are still there for making slim line brochures and stuffers.

File->Page Setup, then select the page format you want, and if there isn't one 4" x 8" create one.

Yep. When you go to paper size and then manage custom sizes you can do anything you like. We have a 30" x 42" size that we use as cover sheets for our drawing packages.
