Mail.app : change the maximum number of connections?

	My email host just changed over from UW IMAP to Courier IMAP ... and set their maximum number of connections to 7. I have 10 accounts that I check in mail.app, so three of them are always unable to check. Is there any way to change the maximum number of connections in mail.app to something else instead? and check the remaining a couple seconds later ?? any help would be great.
