Im knew to dvd burning and need some advice - I want too burn some quicktime movies to my external dvdrw drive so I can playback as a normal dvd whats the best way? I am at this moment burning a movie via Roxio Toast 6 but the encoding process is only at 10% and has taken 15 minutes is this normal? or should I be doing something else?

My computer is an emac running OSX 10.3 - i have Roxio Toast and Describe cd/dvd burning software but both dont seem to work - during encoding Roxio stops and says OSX error and the describe software says it can only write a dvd once it has been encoded by a third party programme like dvd studio pro? Im so confused and just need to know the steps I need to take to get a playback dvd? The dvd burner is an external Iomega Super DVD/RW USB 2.0

Thanks

Hmm.. since it's an eMac it's bound to be a bit slow... that's strange that it stops partway through though. Have you tried that more than once? It could be just a problem with the specific disc you're trying to burn on..
Sorry I can't be of more help... hopefully someone else will.
